around the Präau High Alpine Hut
Our own Präau High Alpine Hut is the highest alpine hut in Dorfgastein at an altitude of 1.808 m. The hut is 150 years old and is run traditionally. It is located on the Salzburger Almenweg and offers overnight accommodation. A mountain bike trail covering over 1,000 m altitude leads from the valley up to the hut. Hiking routes: Tagkopf 1 hour., Wetterkreuz 0,75 hour, Moosegghöhe 1,15 hours, Bernkogel 3 hours, Sladinkopf, Grubereck, Katzinger, Heinreichalm, Bieberalm, Strohlehenalm, Amoser Hochalm, Kramkogel.
